When we sent our Corten steel to the lab, the results confirmed what our customers already know: Tiny Anvil delivers uncompromising quality. Our steel sample contained more copper (0.240%), a critical element for developing a consistent and protective patina. It also showed nearly twice the nickel of the alternative—an essential factor in long-term corrosion resistance. With a well-balanced level of carbon and silicon, our material offers superior structural integrity and smoother weathering.

In contrast, the competitor's sample—commonly used by low-cost importers—had a lower copper count, inconsistent chemistry, and over-elevated manganese, which can lead to brittle finishes and unpredictable surface aging. The result? What looks like Corten at first, quickly breaks down into something far less reliable.
